Intermediate course starts at 10am
and ends at 3pm – Meet in front of Pyramid downtown at 9am.

Shelby Forrest Trip.
Meet in front of Pyramid downtown at 9am bring sack lunch
Run shuttle to Shelby Forrest return to
Memphis approximately 3pm

*RECREATIONAL BOATS ARE
ACCEPTABLE FOR BEGINNER COURSE

Introductions
Discuss kayaking experience
Review short synopsis of class
Set foot braces and put on sprayskirts and PFD’s
Demo how to enter and exit the kayak
Wet exit (no skirt attached)
Wet exit (with skirt attached)
Introduce the forward stroke
Explain the rudder system
- Up and down
  Right and left
Paddle short distance
Refreshments: water & cookies
Take a tour around the lake
Last thing—demo low and high brace, roll
